About Ivy
Ivy Zhou is a lyric coloratura soprano currently active in Seattle as an opera singer, church musician, and voice teacher. “Fearless” and “charming,” her voice has been described as “warm,” “shimmering,” and “present…with an easy top and fioritura.”
Ms. Zhou has brought her characteristic vivacity, natural storytelling ability, and vocal dynamism to leading and supporting roles in over 400 performances in the US and abroad. The 2025-26 season saw her make several role debuts, displaying her range of musical and dramatic ability. In September, she made her role and company debut as Marie in La fille du regiment with Kitsap Opera. In April, she made her concert soloist debut with Music at Epiphany (where she also serves as a soprano section leader) as the 2nd soprano soloist in Mozart’s C Minor Mass. In June, she returned to Eugene Opera to play Beatrice in Jake Heggie’s Three Decembers.
